Privacy Policy

This privacy notice tells you about the information I collect from you when you use the 'Enquiry' function. Also the use of your email address when you provide it and become a subscriber to my email newsletters concerning information about my therapeutic practice (Heath Practice). In collecting this information I am acting as a data controller and, by law, I am required to provide you with information about me, about why and how I use your data, and about the rights you have over your data.

Who am I? 

I am Daniel Heath. I am a fully insured, registered & accredited (BACP) counsellor & psychotherapist. My address and contact details are within this website. 
Any enquiries about my use of your personal data should be addressed to these contact details.

What personal date do I collect?

When you contact me through the "Make an enquiry" function on this website I ask you for your name, your email address and contact telephone number. I also collect your email address when you enter it when subscribing to my mailing list away from this website or by checking the "tick box" on the "Make an enquiry" form. 

Why do I collect this information?

I will only use your information through the "Enquiry" form in order to contact you for the first time. I will only use your email address again for therapeutic work with you or if you have subscribed to the mailing list. 

What do I do with your information?

Your "Make an enquiry" form information is stored in my database and is not shared with any third parties. It is not sent outside of the UK. I will not use the information to make any automated decisions that might affect you. Your mailing list subscription email address is retained and used for the sole purposes of sending you information about my therapeutic practice (Heath Practice) until such time as you decide to unsubscribe from this mailing list, when your email address will be removed

How long do I keep your information for?

Your "Make an enquiry" form information is kept for as long as you continue to be a client and under the guidelines and ethics governing my practice. You can find this at the BACP website. www.bacp.co.uk. Your mailing list email address is kept as long as you remain a subscriber to the newsletter. 

Your rights over your information.

By law, you can ask me what information I hold about you (in relation to this Enquiry form and mailing list and you can ask me to correct it if it is inaccurate. You can also ask for it to be erased and you can ask for me to give you a copy of the information.
You can also ask me to stop using your information – the simplest way to do this is to withdraw your consent, which you can do at any time by emailing, writing or telephoning me using the contact details above.

Your right to complain. 

If you have a complaint about my use of your information, you can contact the Information Commissioner’s Office via their website at www.ico.org.uk/concerns.
